Gillette, WY 9/12 and 9/13
- It was a cold weekend at Gillette Thunder Speedway for the West Region
Wissota 100. Jeff drew pole and won his heat race on Friday, shortly after
which the rest of the races were rain delayed until Saturday. After a dismal
Fast Dash, he started 6th in the A-Main. He worked his way up to 2nd, and
with 4 laps to go snuck under the leader coming out of turn 2. On the backstretch
he tangled with a lapped car, spinning the #9 around the wrong way and causing the
caution to come out. He restarted 2nd with a badly bent upper control arm,
which tipped his wheel in at a sharp angle. On the final lap Jeff was able
to sneak up on the high side of the leader on the backstretch, and motor past in
the last corner to take the checkered flag and become the Western Region Wissota
100 Champion!

Belgrade, MT 8/3/08 - This time the motor is fixed for good and
it showed. Last Friday's races in Belgrade proved to be the first victory
of the season for the 9 team. It wasn't an easy one, though, as Jeff had to
come from the 11th starting position. The team is hoping that the second half
of the season will go more like this weekend!

Billings, MT 6/7/08 -
Since the car was ready and Belgrade's races had been
rained out the past few weeks, we decided to head down to Billings on Saturday.
After only about 3 laps in the heat race, the #9 was involved in a wreck on the
frontstretch that put it out for the rest of the night. It will probably take
a few weeks to be race-ready again. Here's a picture of the wreckage:
